IMAGINATION HOUR
Did you choose this life — or inherit it?
Imagination Hour is a free monthly session with Theresa Stroisch, author of The Imagination Age. One concept. One exercise. One conversation that stays with you.
Each session explores a concept from The Imagination Age — the neuroscience behind how imagination works, how it shows up in everyday life, and what changes when you engage it deliberately.
Theresa opens with a concept. You work with it in real time. Then the conversation begins — and it's different every session.
Virtual. Live. No replay.
NEXT SESSION — WEDNESDAY, APRIL 29

The Default Script
Imagination has been the throughline of my entire life. I wrote The Imagination Age after nearly three decades watching brilliant people get stuck — not from lack of talent, but because something had shifted in their thinking and no one had a name for it. Since the book came out, readers keep writing back with their own version of the same story. Different details, same feeling. This session starts there.
Most of us are living a version of success we inherited before we ever chose it. The degree, the career, the timeline — mapped out by family stories, cultural signals, and expectations we absorbed so early they feel like our own. Seeing the script. Not to reject it. To decide if it's still yours.
Then we work with it. Not as a concept you're hearing about — as a question you answer for yourself, in real time, alongside other people doing the same thing.
Theresa Stroisch has spent more than twenty years working with people navigating the decisions that shape careers, institutions, and lives. What she found, consistently and across every context, is that imagination is not a soft skill or a creative luxury. It is the defining human competence of this moment.
